Between 13–15 March 2026, the EntoFARM project reached a significant milestone in Bulgaria, as our partner organisation, Association “Professional Forum for Education” (PFE), successfully delivered a series of impactful teacher trainings במסגרת the Winter Pedagogical Academy in Velingrad, as well as an additional in-person session at ISU “Metodiy Draginov” in Draginovo.
Bringing together more than 130 educators from across the country, these trainings created a dynamic space for learning, exchange, and inspiration. Participants engaged with key themes of sustainability and the circular economy, exploring how these concepts can be meaningfully integrated into educational practice.
A central focus of the sessions was the EntoFARM project itself and its contribution to fostering “green” skills among students. Through innovative approaches, educators were introduced to the potential of sustainable insect farming as a practical example of circular economy principles in action. This provided a concrete and engaging way to connect environmental awareness with real-world applications.
The trainings emphasized experiential and hands-on learning methodologies, encouraging teachers to move beyond traditional instruction and adopt more interactive, student-centered approaches. Participants explored practical tools and strategies for embedding sustainability into everyday teaching, enabling students to better understand and respond to contemporary environmental challenges.
Equally important was the opportunity for educators to exchange ideas, share experiences, and build new competencies. The collaborative environment fostered meaningful dialogue on how circular economy principles can be adapted across different subjects and educational contexts.
Through initiatives like EntoFARM, teachers are empowered with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to inspire the next generation towards more sustainable practices. The strong engagement and enthusiasm demonstrated by participants highlight the growing commitment within the educational community to address sustainability through innovative and impactful teaching.
We extend our sincere thanks to all educators who took part in these trainings for their dedication, active participation, and commitment to shaping a more sustainable future through education.
